About the qualification
The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is appropriate for individuals wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Green Card and to access construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.
The qualification is delivered online and is intended for anyone who is employed in or seeking employment in the construction industry. The e-learning course is designed to work around your schedule, and you will have access to the training materials to complete your work.
Candidates need to follow these three steps to get their green CSCS Labourer Card:
– Complete the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a construction environment course to get a Health and Safety qualification for a construction site.
– Pass the CITB Health, Safety, and environment test
– Apply for a Green CSCS card through the CSCS website and make the necessary payment.

Entry requirements
Candidates would need a computer with internet access, a microphone and a webcam. No previous experience is required to complete this training.
If you would prefer to attend a classroom course, we deliver CITB Health and Safety Awareness which can also be used to apply for a green CSCS Labourer card.
